Sussex Interpreting Services are fully resolved to comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We believe strongly it is not acceptable that anyone should profit from the appalling abuse and exploitation of individuals.

Anti-Slavery UK
Anti-Slavery UK has shared the information below to aid migrant workers in reporting concerns which may be helpful with helpful links to a short video in a number of different languages. Following the significant impact of the pandemic and its related economic crisis on migrant workers, FLEX has partnered with the Greater London Authority (GLA) to produce an information video about where workers can report:
- underpayment of minimum wage
- problems with employment agencies
- unsafe, abusive or exploitative working conditions, including modern slavery offences
As well as where they can seek support with:
- understanding their employment rights in the UK
- reporting issues at work if they don’t speak English
- accessing immigration and employment advice via free, independent and confidential organisations
The video is available in 11 languages, including English, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Polish, Hungarian, Romanian, Romanes, Hindi, Bahasa Indonesia and Tagalog.
We will be posting these videos to our language specific service user pages:
