Sussex Health and Care Partnership are currently running a public consultation about the location of Inpatient Mental Health Services and have produced a survey, translated into 10 languages, that SIS has been helping to promote and distribute.
Sussex NHS is looking to redesign Inpatient Mental Health Services in East Sussex for adults, older people and those living with dementia. In the first phase of their consultation, they have a survey about proposals to move inpatient mental health services currently provided at the Department of Psychiatry at Eastbourne Hospital to a new site. The survey is relevant to people living across Sussex as referrals for these services are made from both counties.
The NHS has provided a translated version of the questionnaire as well as a document summary about the proposals. SIS has distributed these to all of our self-employed sessional linguists and volunteer linguists as well as directly to service users for whom we have email addresses and through our language specific facebook pages. We have also promoted the consultation to all our community contacts including 60+ language specific groups, organisations and community leaders.
The documents can be downloaded here, with a week to go before the consultation closes (6th September 2021)
