Volunteers’ Week is an annual celebration, which takes place in the first week of June, of the contribution millions of people make across the UK through volunteering.
SIS works with nearly 60 individuals who volunteer their time for our organisation as trustees, social prescribers and telephone befrienders. Without their support we would not be able to deliver our essential services to people with language needs.
To celebrate their contribution and say “Thank you”, we held a tea party on Wednesday 8th June. It was well attended and everyone enjoyed the opportunity to get together face to face in social setting after such a long time apart.
