Brighton and Hove City Council have produced a series of posters in English and 6 Community Languages giving information about the COVID19 Community Hub. The text was reviewed in consultation with migrant and refugee organisations to ensure it was as accessible and meaningful as possible.
The Community Hub can support people, particularly the very vulnerable who are shielding, with
- finding help for shopping, collecting prescriptions, dog walking etc
- emergency foodbank referrals
- advice on keeping active and well
- referrals for social support to reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness
The Community Hub can be accessed10am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday, by people with a language need via a phone line 01273 293117 (option 2) and request an interpreter.
