Keeping loved ones safe and protected is everyone’s priority. The NHS have been campaigning to raise awareness for the seasonal vaccinations that vulnerable people should be getting.
SIS was commissioned by Brighton & Hove City Council Public Health Team to help with this campaign and ensure that our Service Users are included and have the information and support they need.
We translated key information about the seasonal vaccinations (covid, flus and RSV) into the eight most commonly spoken languages in the city;
This information was then sent to our database of Service Users, reaching 1500 people, via email or first language text message and distributed further through our contacts with grassroots community organisations and our linguists.
We have also offered support for anyone who needs help to make their vaccination appointments by contacting the Projects team through our translated webform or by phone.
Respiratory infections spread more easily in winter when we spend more time together indoors. Being healthy doesn’t reduce your risk of getting ill or passing it on and, you can have no symptoms and unknowingly spread infections to your friends and family.
