SIS has joined UOK Brighton & Hove which relaunched under a new contract in October 2025. UOK is a partnership of local charities, community groups, and experts working together to strengthen mental health and wellbeing support for adults across the city.
The strengthened partnership, funded by NHS Sussex and Brighton & Hove City Council, is led by Southdown bringing together over a dozen other trusted organisations to connect people with practical advice and guidance, friendly activities, and tailored support making it simpler to access useful information, join groups, events & peer support, or get expert advice.
SIS is really excited to be an active partner in the new commission, working with other organisations to support them in making their services fully accessible to people with language needs; understanding what is on offer and being able to refer into and receive equitable services. We will delivery accessibility consultation, and a combination of interpreting, translation, social prescribing and outreach to help realise the UOk commitment to inclusion, prevention, and making support accessible to all with a focus on person-centred services, where everyone’s experience matters, and help is easy to find.
“After six successful years we’re really excited to relaunch our partnership that is your connection to local mental health and wellbeing support. Our partners are all expert organisations who truly care about our communities and understand what works best for them. We all need help sometimes, so please don’t hesitate to reach out for support for yourself, a loved one or someone you’re caring for.” Brooke Joyce, UOK B&H Partnership Lead
