Coronavirus: Understanding the impact on Black, Asian and minority ethnic people in Brighton and Hove

SIS has been commissioned by B&H NHS Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) to undertake some community research to try and understand the disproportionate impact of COVID 19 on Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic and Refugee (BAMER) people. This work is in a partnership led by Trust for Developing Communities along with Hangelton and Knoll Project, Voices in Exile and the Network for International WomenIt and Fresh Youth Perspectives.

There is an online survey open to anyone with a BAMER background (English only) with a deadline for  Friday 31st July

The survey is found here

Further inclusive research is being conducted via video conferencing focus group and 1 to 1 interviews both with linguistic support available.

TDC will be writing  a report and recommendations for the CCG and a translated summary will be made available.   We hope that the CCG will take forward our recommendations and, when it is safe, will arrange a meeting with participants to explain any action.
