There are a number of multi-cultural events coming up during the Spring of 2019 that SIS is involved with and promoting to our Service Users in core community languages Arabic, Bengali, Farsi, Hungarian, Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Spanish, Turkish.  Everyone is welcome at these events.

28th February SIS 16th Annual General Meeting  is our flag ship event.  We go beyond the necessary and required official business to showcase and celebrate our work.  It is an opportunity for attendees to talk to SIS and local health & wellbeing services, connect  with local people speaking 48 languages and celebrate our achievements.  There is always a a great buzz in the room as interpreters work to ensure our Service Users don’t miss a thing!

9th March International Womens Day is hosted by Brighton Womens Centre putting on a programme of inspiring speakers, activists and innovators, workshops, arts and crafts, causes and campaigns, and fun for all the family at Brighton Dome.

16th March Multicultural Volunteering Fair organised by Trust for Developing Communities (TDC), in collaboration with SIS, is providing an opportunity for our Service Users to get a better understanding of the concept of volunteering, the opportunities available, reasons for volunteering and benefits to their communities and themselves.

2nd April 6th Annual Multicultural Wellbeing Day “The Greatest Health is Wealth”.  SIS is thrilled to be partnering once again with TDC and The Hangelton and Knoll Multicultural Women’s Group for this super vibrant event.  400 people attended last year to find out about service and organisations operating in Brighton and Hove that could contribute to better health and wellbeing.
